Asomugha and Revis???

Posted: July 29, 2011 by footballfan113 in Football

The New York Jets have taken the lead in the fight for Asomugha. if the Jets get him it will make the jets the most feared defense in the NFL (yes it would be better than both the Ravens and the Steelers) with Rex Ryan’s blitz happy defensive scheme and those Asomugha and Revis stoping the passes that will give the Jets an easy shot at a Super Bowl. If you don’t know about Asomugha hear this he only allowed about 16 pass completions on the man he was covering and non of them were TD’s. even though he doesn’t get picks he will shut down the WR, and as for Revis… well two words Revis Island!

You wanna know what really gets my hairy old goat? I’ll tell you what: The NFL lockout. I may be just a washed up old fart, but by gum, in my day football players would never dream of putting the whole season at risk just to squeeze a few more bucks out of the league. They are all so goshdurn greedy, every last one-uv-em. No gratitude. None whatsoever. Oh, excuse me, Mr. Adrian slower-than-molasses-in-January Peterson, sorry you won’t be able to afford the red leather interior for your fifteenth Lexus SUV. Boohoo, Mr. Aaron Rodgers, sorry you won’t be able to eat caviar all summer long in your green and goldHawaii mansion. I tell you what, you crazy bloggernetting kids, it ain’t right. Matter of fact, it’s more than ain’t right, it’s wrong. Wrong, I tell ya—wronger than two pigs in a blanket. Wronger than that tick stuck in my groin. What ever happened to the love of the game? Huh? Tell me that! Yeah, I’m talkin’ to you, Mr. Peyton makes-so-many-goshdurn-assinine-commercials-he-doesn’t-need-anymore-money-anyway Manning!

I tell you what we ought-a do, kids. And this here’s free advice. No churge. Kick the bums out! That’s right, you heard me. Kick ‘em out. Every last goshdurn money-grubbin’ one-uv-em. Then we get ourselves a fresh herd of you-neevursitee football players—I’m talkin’ juniors and seniors. Throw in a few lady players for all you women-libbers out there—don’t matter to me. Just give ‘em all $3.50 an hour (same thing I pay my stone-pickers—and you don’t hear them complaining), dust off some jerseys and by gum,GAMEON. Those young fellers and lasses’ll run their hearts out just for a chance to be in the big leagues. O sure, you may not see all the fancypants plays of Mr. Randy goal-post-butt-rubbin’ Moss, but them kids’ll be playin’ with heart. Heart I tell ya. That’s what’s missin’ with these football stars today. No heart!!

Why, when I was a young man, if President Hoover said we had to make a sacrifice, well by gum, we banded together and made a goshdurn sacrifice–for the good of the country. It’s called pride, kids. Ever hear of that? You think we let a little “Great Depression” slow us down. No sir. We got down to business faster’n jackrabbits in April and got ourselves out of that mess. But it took sacrifice, I tell ya. Hard work. That’s what these NFL players don’t get. So, kick ‘em all out, I say. Let the college kids play. And if the overpaid whiners run out of cash and need a job… well, I got a few openings this summer on my stone-pickin’ crew.

U.S. Womens soccer team heads to the world cup semi-finals!

Posted: July 11, 2011 by JESTERGHOUSE in Soccer

In Germany the women’s FIFA World Cup has been going on, the U.S. Soccer Team has been showing much more skill than we usually do. We won first round, and the next ones following, we made it all the way to the Quarter-Finals.America now faced Brazil a team that had shown its skill in their previous games. The U.S.team must have felt the pressure, they were down 1-2 with no time to spare. Out of disparity Megan Rapinoe kicks the ball one last time praying for a goal. It looks like the goalie is just going to catch it but her hand slips and the ball bounces off of her hands giving Abby Wambach the header America needed. The ball bounced off of Abby’s head into the back of the goal tying the game with no time left. The game went into a shootout, America’s top shooters put the game away, wining the shootout with a score being 5-3. What a win for our women’s soccer team, they now head further in the tournament to the Semis against Sweden. Let’s Go Girls!!!!!

where will Nnamdi Asomugha end up?

Posted: July 11, 2011 by footballfan113 in Football

Many people have their own idea of where one of the best DB’s might end up.  Some say Green Bay because it is his preferred system.  Some say he will go to the Texans because they could spend a lot of money on him.  But I personally think he will go to a team with Super Bowl potential, I think he will go to the Steelers.  The Steelers have a great chance at a Super Bowl win, but the only thing that made them lose the Super Bowl last year was their cornerbacks.  Let’s face it, the corners didn’t stick to their man and even when they did, the WR still could get a great position on the ball (the first touchdown pass of the Super Bowl).  The Steelers would be able to shut down an offense like the Falcons, with Nnamdi taking a guy like Roddy White out of the game because of the man coverage skills.  Matt Ryan would have to either hand the ball off or pass it to another WR like the rookie, Julio Jones, who I don’t think will like having Troy Polamalu bitting on his side of the field.
